Full-Time Instructional Position for the 2014-2015 School Year

 Technology Instructional Coach/Computer Technician - Instructional Coach responsibilities includeintegrate technology into instruction to engage and differentiate based on student needs; research and locate curriculum support resources; research and examine instructional technology best practices; integrate technology to increase student achievement and student engagement; create  and interpret online assessment data to inform instruction. Computer Technician responsibilities include: provide technical support including installation; configuration; upgrades and ensuring operation of computer network systems for LASD staff and students; updates to district-managed websites; maintaining district-owned technology ticketing system; inform the Technology Department of any new trends regarding technology and its use in education; perform other duties consistent with his/her professional competence as may be assigned by the Technology Director. This is a 12-month position with benefits and a salary range of $40,000-52,275 based on knowledge and experience. A valid Michigan teaching certificate is required. Franklin Technology/Library Teacher - Part time: Serve as technology teacher and library teacher in Franklin (grades K-2) regular education class-rooms; 30 minutes per week per classroom for technology and 30 minutes per week per classroom for library time (approximately 11 hours per week). Compensation is at an hourly rate of $15.00/hour worked. No other benefits apply. Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and must have a valid Michigan teaching certificate elementary level and experience in the delivery of student instruction utilizing current library and teaching technology. Non-Union Position

OJ Behavioral Support Specialist Position - 3.0 hours per school day, mornings. Responsible for early morning student supervision in the breakfast room, followed by administering the attendance process in the middle school.  Duties include but are not limited to checking in previously absent students, receiving and making parent phone calls, keeping accurate and up-to-date records, preparing and sending attendance/truancy letters as needed and communicating with administration on related issues.  Must possess excellent organization and communication skills, as well as a positive manner in working with students, parents and staff.
