Welcome to the LHS Scholarship Site
There are several types of scholarship programs and the ones that are of most interest to the most current graduating class of Ludington High School and area graduates, are school-based and community-based scholarships.
School-Based Scholarships are exclusive to this year’s LHS graduating class and there are many awards of significant amounts. Because the awards for these scholarships are determined through various and different committees all using the same candidate information, there is now an LHS Scholarship Common Application. The Common Application only activates candidacy for School-Based Scholarship opportunities.
Community-based scholarships, which are open to all area high school graduates, have individual applications and will not use the LHS Common Application. Individual applications for local community scholarships are provided via this site as available. Please read the following details on both School-Based and Community-Based Scholarship programs to determine eligibility and begin the application process.
School-Based Scholarships
The following scholarships are open to any current LHS graduate and use the following common online application. Application materials, including WSCC transcripts (if needed), essays, and letters of recommendations must be complete and turned into the LHS Counseling secretary by 3 PM on Monday MARCH 15 for consideration. All applications must be time stamped and dated by an LHS office secretary at the time of submission. Late applications, regardless of circumstance, will not be accepted.
Click here for the LHS Scholarship Common Online Application.
Current funding and previous scholarship award commitments affect scholarship award amounts and accessibility year to year. Several different school-based committees decide awards and winners are not revealed until the scholarship award school assembly in May.
Completing the LHS Scholarship Common Online Application activates eligibility for any, all, or a combination of the following scholarship opportunities. A scholarship description and eligibility for each follows. All awards are non-renewable, one-time awards unless otherwise stated.
